CMA Training: Terms and Conditions
Booking and Attending CMA Training: Terms & Conditions
Booking
It is accepted by CMA that some organisations booking training will do so on another person’s behalf Eg: a manager booking training for their team member(s). Whilst this is acceptable, CMA wishes to make it clear that the person who completes the booking should not only be aware of the below terms and conditions, it is also their responsibility to make sure the person they have booked onto the training is aware of the terms and conditions as well.
It is expected that any training will be paid for in full before subsequent courses are booked. CMA reserves the right to cancel any future training days booked and/or refuse to book subsequent training days if payment for previous services has not already been made.
Cancelling, Changing or Transferring a Booking
Once a course has been booked, delegates can log into their CMA Training Portal to cancel, change or transfer a booking up to 14 days before the course starts and receive a refund of any monies paid. If assistance is required please contact training@communitymoneyadvice.com within usual office hours (usually Monday - Thursday 9am-5pm).
Requests to cancel the training, change the delegate or transfer a booking within 14 calendar days in advance by email to: training@communitymoneyadvice.com. In this instance a refund will not normally be offered. On a case by case basis we may transfer the booking to another date or hold a credit. Any offer will take into account:
if the request is due to an event we would regard as an emergency situation
if the training course remains viable, based on the remaining numbers of delegates
if the booking has already been transferred
the length of notice given
Bookings will not be transferred on more than 3 occasions and should the booking not be attended within this parameter, the delegate will be expected to book again at additional cost.
Non or Partial Attendance
If a delegate does not attend a booked training day within 20 minutes of the planned start time and no prior notice is received by CMA Training (excepting an emergency), CMA reserves the right to insist the course fee is forfeited in full, the delegate forfeits the training session and any future attendance will need to be re-booked at cost.
For ALL training courses (including those delivered online) it is expected that delegates make adequate provision for: home deliveries, school runs, child care etc outside of the course timings.
For online training, It is expected that all delegates remain present and on screen for the duration of the course unless by prior arrangement with the Training Team.
Should any delegate leave the training for a period / leave the training early without prior arrangement, CMA reserves the right to notify the delegate's line manager of their absence and advise them of the extent of training missed.
In the unlikely event that a significant amount of the training day has been missed, CMA reserve the right to insist that the delegate re-sits that training session (at additional cost) before moving on to the next level of training.
Course Materials
When a booking is cancelled and not rebooked by the delegate, hard copy materials previously supplied will need to be returned to CMA Head Office at the delegate’s expense.
As part of the joining instructions for CMA courses, delegates are provided with links and email instructions to enable them to access course materials. It is expected that delegates will come prepared for their chosen training day, having already accessed relevant materials (Eg: pre-course reading, homework activities. See below.) as completion of these contributes towards delegates gaining the relevant accredited Awards.
Should any issues with access to these links arise, the Training Team should be contacted for help before the training day at training@communitymoneyadvice.com (NB: Training Team hours are usually Monday - Thursday 9am-5pm).
On the day, Trainers are unable to revisit course materials for any delegates who are not fully prepared Eg: lack of manuals, incomplete homework etc, may result in the delegate being asked to re-book the training another time at additional cost.
Pre-Course Homework and Tests
A number of CMA courses require pre-course reading and / or homework to be completed. These are essential to completing the subsequent training session. A test may also need to be passed between training sessions.
It is expected that delegates will take these requirements seriously and that any pre-course activities will be completed thoroughly and in a timely manner.
We reserve the right to ask any delegate to leave training and re-book for another time (at additional cost) if it becomes obvious that even though they have accessed the training materials, they have not completed the pre-course activities stipulated.
It is expected that delegates pass the assessment for their previous training before proceeding to the subsequent training course. For any delegate that has not passed the required test before the subsequent training, we reserve the right to cancel their booking on the day and the delegate will need to re-book after passing their test at additional cost.
Zoom Training Etiquette
Following Zoom etiquette is important both to the trainer and other delegates. It is expected that all delegates will be mindful of this. We reserve the right to require that any delegate failing to follow the guidance below, leaves the training day and rebooks training on another occasion at their own expense.
It is expected that delegates joining online training will:
Have a working camera on at all times. Unless the CMA Training Team has been notified as part of the booking process why this is not possible, delegates will have their camera on at all times during the training course except for recognised breaks.
Join with their own individual device. Sharing a device is not conducive to participating well in CMA’s online training days as each delegate is expected to participate individually in discussion, join breakout rooms individually and engage with other delegates. This is not possible on a shared device.
Be familiar with Zoom functionality as per Zoom Guidance sent out with course joining instructions: Eg: access and use of chat, navigate to break out rooms, sign in again if connection is temporarily lost etc
Have ensured they have a stable internet connection, working camera and audio before the start of their training day. CMA Training accepts there can be difficulties with technology but does expect delegates to take all possible steps to minimise any impact to themselves and other delegates on the course.
General Training Course Expectations
All courses are interactive, requiring verbal contributions and participation during discussion in breakout rooms during the course of the day. It is expected that all joining the course will take an active role.
Although the Trainer will aim to finish at the indicated time, this may vary dependent on the above. NB: Feedback from our courses highlights that the more delegates put in by contributing, the more they will gain from the training.
Delegates are expected to be sensitive to others and aware of the need for all to be able to contribute (Eg: don’t dominate the air space!)
It is expected that any contributions remain confidential.
The Trainers will not be expected to answer detailed queries related to specific and/or individual cases
CMA expects that Trainers and Delegates will treat one another with respect and dignity and therefore will not tolerate discrimination of any kind, foul language or behaviour of an abusive nature. CMA reserves the right to remove any delegate breaching this with immediate effect.
Cancellation of a Training Day by CMA
If a training day does not meet the minimum number of delegates for the course to be viable, the course date may be cancelled. CMA will aim to give the minimum of 5 working days notice and offer alternative options at no extra cost to those delegates.
In exceptional circumstances we may need to cancel a training day with short notice. For example; if a trainer becomes ill and no alternative can be found. In this event, we will attempt to accommodate booked delegates on suitable alternative dates, look to reschedule the cancelled date or offer a full refund.
